7 Best Belly Band Holster
If you’re an incredibly active gun enthusiast, then belly band holsters are perfect for you. With belly band holsters, you have the advantage of drawing your gun at any point from a standing position. So if you’re on the move -- running or walking -- it provides easy access. Belly band holsters carry your handgun during exercises such as jogging, lifting, trail running, biking and other active pursuits. You’ll be surprised to know that the belt can even pull in double duty as a lifting belt as well.
For concealment, a belly holster is perfect for hiding your gun during combat or any situation. Wear a tight fitted shirt, and it’ll be easy to conceal. The great thing about belly band holsters is that they typically have multiple pockets so you can carry extra weapons or magazines for backup. Compared to other body part holsters such as the ankle or hip holster, many of them can be uncomfortable to wear during strenuous activity. When it comes to running, having a belly band is the most practical body part to carry your concealed handgun.
In this blog post, we’ll review to you the best belly band holsters currently out there in the market, and you’ll be able to decide which holster is right for you.

Our Take
We love the overall versatility of this belly band holster. This belly band holster gives you the ability to be active and still hold your gun. If you’re running, the belt is tightly secured to your waist. If you’re sitting in a car, it’s placed comfortably on your waist -- not to bother your seating position. Most rational individuals who own a gun tend to be afraid to carry it with them, but these belly band holsters make it concealable and comfortable.
For me, I always wanted a holster that fit perfectly. I’ve tried ankle ones, chest holsters, and others, but nothing worked. I was in a rather lousy neighborhood and needed a reliable holster to keep me feeling safe. Luckily I found this belly band. I love how it’s got many pockets on the belly band to hold extra magazines, cell phone, keys, wallet, pepper spray, tactician knives, and many more. It doesn’t show any visible bulge either, so it’s incredibly hidden.
When it comes to the person who has an active life and owns a gun, this holster is for you. I like how the retention system is a snap and not a velcro. With previous velcro bands I’ve had, they typically wear down after using it for a little while, which reduces the security and original purpose.

Our Take
If you’re someone who is on the smaller side, typically, it is noticeable having a holster under your shirt. But this sleek and minimalistic design makes it highly concealable for even smaller sized individuals. Ideally, you need to position this belly band to a slight left or right position to ensure you can draw from it and have the most snug fit.
Another bonus feature is the magazine pocket pouch. Most holsters have this pocket; however, this one gives you the option to remove the magazine. Though it’s great to have extra pockets, sometimes it only makes your band look bulkier. Plus, for some individuals, having all that extra magazine isn’t always necessary. We love it fits well with athletic clothing such as leggings and sweatshirts.

Our Take
Personally, this is one of the most versatile belly band holsters we’ve seen out there in the market. It has the capability of holding your handguns behind the hip, on hip, appendix, cross draw, shoulder rig, or open carry. This band doesn’t even require that you have a belt on as well. Depending on where you feel most comfortable, you can wear this holster to fit as needed. For the active individual, it’ll fit with ease under yoga pants, sweat pants, and gym shorts.
The belly band is convenient because it has extra pockets to hold magazines, cellphones, money, ID, tactical knife, pepper spray, and more. Overall I find this band to be extremely comfortable as well since it uses a neoprene breathable material.

Pros
- Carries most guns out there
- Comfortable for active individuals
- Keeps your pistol snug to your belly
- Versatile for ambidextrous individuals
Cons
- Can feel flimsy because it’s lightweight
- Pocket is too close to the gun pocket which can make the draw harder
Our Take
When it comes to a belly band holster, you need one that fits perfectly and comfortably. We love the flexibility of the belt because it can adjust to individuals for up to a 43-inch waist, stomach, belly, or hips. I’m left-handed, so it’s beneficial to have a belt that can be rotated and placed on the left part of my body. With just a flick of the thumb, you can easily remove the retention system as well. This security retention system is a velcro hook made to securely and tightly fasten the gun against your body. We love this personally over snap buttons, which can fall out, especially if you put it in the washing machine.
One thing I like about the belt is it looks very athletic and sleek. When people walk by, nobody even notices the gun or belt. It looks exactly like how an exercise belt would look. It’s not very bulky and made from neoprene so that it won’t absorb your sweat. Sometimes other belts can become sticky due to sweat. Overall this is one of the most comfortable straps in the market today at a very affordable price.
Belly Band Holster for Active Concealed Carry
The belly band holster is an excellent wearable to carry and conceal your pistols. Inside the belt, there are sweat-wicking micro air holes to improve ventilation and remove sweat from the belt. The belt can be worn in multiple positions, including the appendix, behind hip, shoulder, small of back, 12 o’clock, and on hip. The retention system is made of a durable velcro that easily hooks and loops your gun, so it secures your gun in place. The belt can fit a full size, mid-size, and revolver gun. Along with this product, a tactical light is included.
Pros
- Comfortable and breathable material
- Versatile to fit under any clothing
- Retention system that is secure and long-lasting
- Affordable pricing
Cons
- Difficult to carry a full-size pistol such as Sig Sauer
Our Take
We love the retention system for this belt. We believe that the velcro is much superior to other belly band holsters. When it comes to a retention system, you need a durable material that can securely carry your gun and have a quick trigger for a fast draw. This holster does all of that! I am not a fan of the quick snap-button because those can fall off sometimes.
I like how the holster can adjust and fit your belly size. Based on the size of the belly band you choose (small, standard, or XL), it can adjust up to 36 inches, 44 inches, or 54 inches in circumference. The tactical light is especially a nice bonus for people who go camping or out in nature at night. It has a strong Q5 LED light that powers at 300 lumens with three modes of brightness. It’s drop-proof and waterproof as well. So if you’re in the wild, you’ll need a reliable light to navigate you through.

Pros
- Fits very large individuals
- Extremely comfortable and breathable material
- Fits all types of guns
- Sleek design for maximum concealment
Cons
- Snap button may feel cheap or fall off
Our Take
This is an excellent belly band that fits all sizes of people. With other holsters that say it fits all sizes, they can tend to squeeze you too tight or end up pulling down your pants. This one is extremely flexible and light. Personally you can even wrap the band around your thigh as well. It’s so comfortable it fits like a nice sweater and very breathable with the soft neoprene material.
One area of improvement I’d like to see is to change the snap button to a magnetic button. Snap buttons can feel cheap or sometimes even fall off. The band is very thin and it isn’t noticeable at all with a shirt and regular pants on. It’s nice to have a magazine pouch and a pocket for personal belongings as well. Overall, we think this band stands out most in it’s comfortability and versatility for small or big size individuals.

Our Take
When it comes to a comfortable band for athletic activity, this belly band fits the bill. Whether you’re running, hiking, or performing any strenuous activity, this band will hold up. The neoprene seems to be extra soft and padded. I like how you can wrap the belt under gym shorts, yoga pants, jeans, dresses, and skirts. As someone who has been in all types of situations, I like how the band can be worn in different positions such as the appendix, on hip, behind hip, shoulder rig, 3 o’clock, 12 o’clock, cross draw, and back. When it comes to concealment, I learned that sometimes you'd need to switch the positioning of the gun so that people can hide your pistol.
This holster is an excellent versatile band that fits most individuals and fits all types of guns. I’ve tried putting subcompact, compact, and even full size. They all fit nice and tight. We recommend this a versatile belly band that is extremely affordable and very outdoor-friendly.
