DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE RIP OFF ARTISTS! – Seriously, terrible business with trashy management and ownership. In this review, I will lay out the facts and let YOU, the reader, be the judge. Though I have no doubt that you will come to the same conclusion as I have. Spoiler alert, bad company that is not worth your $.
It should also be noted that I informed this business on my intent to post this review about their business and gave them the opportunity to “do the right thing” hoping that this was indeed mistake that would be corrected and therefor no review would be necessary.
Their response? Derek from the business threatened me and told me that posting a poor review about them would be “illegal” falsely asserting that I was “threatening a gun shop”. They then disabled my account and banned my IP address from accessing their website. I presume to try to prevent me from downloading a copy of my receipt, which is comical as I of course already have.
Starting to get the feel for their business practices yet?
So, lets lay out the FACTS.
On 2/2 I found and PURCHASED 5 Lower AR-15 receivers from this business. I was thrilled to see that they had them “in-stock” and happy to purchase them. I submitted my order, cc#, FFL transfer info, etc. and the purchase was “successfully” made. I received e-mail confirmation of the order and waited for shipping details.
On 2/5 I still hadn’t received any shipping details or any other correspondence. No biggie I thought, but decided to visit the website and log into my account to see if there was any info there. BOOM… “Your order has been cancelled – reason given “incorrect inventory”.
So I call them, and without telling them about the purchase, simply ask “Do you have any Aero Precision Gen2 stripped lower receivers in stock” – Derek confirms that they DO have 4 in stock and a few of the M4e1 lowers as well. Great! So, I assume they will be able to fulfil my order and just substitute one of the m4e1’s for the “missing” Gen2 that I purchased. At least that is what a REPUTABLE business would do… or AT VERY LEAST, adjust the purchase to 4 of the Gen2’s and get them sent out… Derek asks me to hold so he can speak with Jake (Presumably not “Jake from State-Farm” lol). I hold. He comes back on the phone a few minutes later and tells me that “someone will call you back”. “OK” I say, assuming that I will hear good news back… Wrong… NOTHING back. In the meantime, I go to their website and see the receivers which were once listed at $100, now listed @ $200. The picture is starting to form…
So no one ever calls me back on 2/5… I wait until nearly end of business on 2/6 before I call them back to find out what the deal is… Derek comes to the phone and tells me, “sorry, we don’t have any in inventory.” Which I find interesting, considering just the day before he checked and they had “4” of the Gen2’s and “a few” of the M4E1’s, which I would have presumed they would have taken out of circulation knowing that they had been sold. I state as much and Derek’s reply was to ask me if I was “calling him a liar”… Well… if the shoe fits… I inform him that regrettably I will have no choice but to leave bad reviews of his business on social media to inform the public of what kind of business they do. Then, and this should blow your mind… he tells me that I better not, because what I’m doing is “illegal”. He tries to insinuate that I’m “threatening a gun shop” and that doing so is “illegal” – Evidently trying to scare me out of writing a bad review describing the situation. What a crock of crap! A little while later I get an e-mail saying that my “profile has been changed” on their website. I look into it, and not only have they disabled my account they have also banned my IP address from their website. Which is childish and takes all of 3 seconds to get around… even if I didn’t have over 25 years of IT experience. Evidently, they don’t know how a VPN works! lol
So, there you have it. Cancelled sale, lied about inventory, won’t do anything to rectify the situation, after they realize that the market is tough to find right now, they jack their prices up and price gouge the products that they supposedly “don’t have”. And yet, you can go to their website right now and see that they DO have inventory and even if they don’t have “stripped lowers” – they could EASILY dismantle a few of the “complete” lowers they have to correct the order. That is… IF they were a reputable business… which clearly, they are NOT. Bottom line? Stay as far away from this business as you can, protect your $ - and don’t do business with such low lives.
